Hope gets mixed reviews, but I realise that it is a spiritual value. Yet it takes great courage to choose hope. Anne Morrow Lindberg wrote “It isn't for the moment you are stuck that you need courage, but for the long uphill climb back to sanity and Faith and security.”
Whoever we are, within us, somewhere, is the memory of who we really are and how good life can be when we choose to take the journey of healing. We find hope when we summon the courage to look for it.
Philosophers love hope. Aristotle wrote that “Hope is a waking dream.” Fyodor Dostoevsky wrote that “To live without hope is to cease to live.”

HOPE - Hold On, Pain Ends
Am I feeling hopeless today? If so, I will rearrange my attitude by claiming my power to make good choices. I will turn to others who are willing to share their hope with me.
We are told by some that hope is a bad thing. That it’s self-defeating. But I would like to believe otherwise. Friedrich Nietzsche wrote “Hope in reality is the worst of all evils because it prolongs the torments of man.” But that is only if we let it be the case. Nietzsche loved to take the contrary position and say things for effect.
It is in healing and recovery that long-term hope is born and perspective is gained, both of the nature of our spiritual dis-ease and the path of our healing and recovery. The beauty of recovery lies in knowing that our lives, with our Higher Power's help, will improve. Our journey becomes richer, understanding becomes Truth, dreams become realities — and today becomes forever.
Albert Einstein wrote “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning.”
Robert Green Ingersoll wrote “Hope is the only bee that makes honey without flowers.” Desmond Tutu wrote “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” Hope is seeing in the dark.
Martin Luther King Jr. wrote “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope… Everything that is done in the world is done by hope.”
Epicurus wrote “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.”
You are almost there. Don’t give up now. Elbert Hubbard wrote “A little more persistence, a little more effort, and what seemed hopeless failure may turn to glorious success.”
Robert H. Schuller wrote “Let your hopes, not your hurts, shape your future.”
Alexandre Dumas wrote “All human wisdom is summed up in two words; wait and hope.” So, be patient. All good things will come to you.
Alexander Pope wrote “Hope springs eternal in the human breast: Man never is, but always to be blest.”
Thich Nhat Hanh wrote “Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.”
Victor Hugo wrote that “Hope is the word which God has written on the brow of every man.” Amen to that.
Speak in such a way that others love to listen to you: Listen in such a way that others love to speak to you.
George Bernard Shaw wrote that “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” Are you ready to change your mind?
Namaste.
