Creating From The Heart

Updated: Jan 27

It is only when one writes from an open, vulnerable heart that one imparts anything of true value. Why is this so difficult for us to do? It's because we are terrified that if we show our true Selves that we will not be loved. Yet the converse is true: When we take off our masks and our armour, that is when we can love our Selves and allow others to love us, and they will. Creativity is piercing the mundane to find the marvellous...

Marc Chagall the artist wrote "If I create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing"

The same is true of any creative activity. Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote that "True happiness comes from the joy of deeds well done, the zest of creating things new." Albert Einstein wrote that "Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought." Creativity is the wisdom of the heart having fun. It's toying with who we truly are, and in a way it creates, or at least reveals to our Selves and to others, who we really are. George Bernard Shaw wrote that "You use a glass mirror to see your face. You use works of art to see your soul."

Only a precious few know us well enough to say that they actually know us. And no-one may judge another. Even God does not judge. Can you imagine an all-powerful Universal Spirit or force that would judge? They would give you an infinite number of second chances. William Wordsworth wrote that "Nature never did betray the heart that loved her." So why do people judge, when it is not their place to judge, and they do not know anything about you? They judge because they hate themselves, so they try to pull you down to their level, through projection of what they would want to deny in themselves, in a desperate egocentric fear-laden attempt to survive their self-inflicted existential pain.

Rumi wrote that "Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom." Maya Angelou wrote that "You can't use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have."

Expressing the feeling of your heart is part of looking within. Carl Jung wrote that "Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes."

Plato wrote that "Every heart sings a song, incomplete, until another heart whispers back. Those who wish to sing always find a song." We always need another to hear us before we can hear ourselves.

I challenge you to create from the heart. It is the only way that people will listen to you. Anything else will cause them to switch off their attention. Try it: You will see, and so will they, perhaps for the first time. I see the highest version of you. Isn't it time that you did too? Isn't it time to transform your life?

Speak in such a way that others love to listen to you: Listen in such a way that others love to speak to you.

George Bernard Shaw wrote that “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” Are you ready to change your mind?

Namaste.

Sending you love, light, and blessings brothers.

Olly
