It's Time To Wake Up The World

When a woman or a man has a spiritual awakening, the most important meaning of it is that he has now become able to do that which he could not do before on his unaided strength and resources alone. He has been granted a gift which amounts to a new state of consciousness and BEing. Do you need this?

Carl Gustav Jung wrote to Bill Wilson about spiritual awakenings that "The only right and legitimate way to such an experience is, that it happens to you in reality and it can only happen to you when you walk on a path, which leads you to a higher understanding. You might be led to that goal by an act of Grace or through a personal and honest contact with friends, or through a higher education of the mind beyond the confines of mere rationalism."
A man has been set on a path which tells him he is really going somewhere, that life is not a dead end, not something to be endured or mastered. In a very real sense he has been transformed, because he has laid hold of a source of strength which he had hitherto denied himself.
Carl Gustav Jung, the famous Swiss psychiatrist, founder of analytical psychology, and all round spiritual Master, wrote to Bill Wilson, the founder of the 12 steps, and the largest contributing author of the 'Big Book', wrote in 1961 that "The only right and legitimate way to such an experience is, that it happens to you in reality and it can only happen to you when you walk on a path, which leads you to a higher understanding. You might be led to that goal by an act of Grace or through a personal and honest contact with friends, or through a higher education of the mind beyond the confines of mere rationalism... I am strongly convinced that the evil principle prevailing in this world, leads the unrecognised spiritual need into perdition, if it is not counteracted either by a real religious insight or by the protective wall of human community. An ordinary man, not protected by an action from above and isolated in society cannot resist the power of evil, which is called very aptly the Devil. But the use of such words arouse so many mistakes that one can only keep aloof from them as much as possible."
I have never met an individual who suffers from compulsion, whatever the nature of that compulsion, who wasn't ultimately successful in psychological, spiritual, mental, emotional, physical, and financial abundance if they embraced the journey of recovery. You should expect that success will flood your life, without limits, as a result of Faith.
This reminds me of a beautiful passage, 'Footprints in the Sand":
One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you. Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.
In any moment, I can surrender to the powerful presence of love through prayer, contemplation, meditation, and stillness. You can rise up and be resurrected from anything. You can completely recreate your Self. Nothing is permanent. All is well. This too shall pass. You are not stuck. You have choices. You can create new habits. You can change your character. You can undergo a complete transformation. You just need to remember your light. All that matters is that you decide today and never look back. Peace is accepting today, releasing yesterday and giving up the need to control tomorrow.
There comes a time in every life, and sometimes more than once, when you have to let everything fall apart and let go. There is a miracle in letting go. You have to surrender fully to life. When you are fighting a losing battle, the only way to win is to surrender. Life is a game of two halves. You can fall upwards. You can deal with any adversity. You can handle life. It will all work out. When you have to stop fighting for a life you have outgrown and trust that everything will be ok, even if you can’t see it right now. For a while everything may feel messy and hard, and you may feel scared and lost. Embrace the fear. Embrace the uncertainty. Embrace the imperfection. Embrace the grief. Embrace the tears. The dark tunnel of change leads to the light of possibility, but first you have to go through it. As you go through your 'Dark Night of the Soul', have courage. In Psalms 23:4 it states "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Mahatma Gandhi wrote “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote "If human beings can be trained for cruelty and greed and a belief in power which comes through hate and fear and force, certainly we can train equally well for greatness and mercy and the power of love which comes because of the strength of the good qualities to be found in the soul of every human BEing."
Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future. Albert Einstein said, “You cannot solve a problem with the same mind that created it.” Just let go of what you thought your life should be and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into your consciousness. If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got. Make today as beautiful as you can. Let nothing take your joy away. It’s time to start something new and trust the miracles of new beginnings. When we live in the now, for this day only, "One day at a time," we assure ourselves a comfortable reality. Thinking into the future is projection, an act of purely wishful thinking that is a waste of precious time for growth. The time we spend "projecting" is time wasted. Surrender. Nothing is either good or bad. Love your fate. This too shall pass. All is well. The future is never what we project it to be. Instead of spending time thinking about the future in the present, we can be spending time making the present better. The only thing that emerges from thinking about the negative parts of our past is guilt and shame. Simply remember the lessons from the past, and shut the door on it. The only thing that emerges from thinking about our future is fear of the unknown.
Patience teaches us to sow the seed in the form of right actions and to allow the fruits of those actions to ripen in their own time. You don't need to think about the future benefits of what you do now because you will know you will receive what you need when the time is right. If you let go of expectations and allow things to develop in their own time, you will be able to enjoy what you are doing in the present, and the future will automatically become good. Take intuitive action, let go of the outcomes and take it easy. Hustle, grind, and determination get you nowhere other than to an early grave. Yesterday is gone; forget it. Tomorrow never comes; don't worry. Today is here; get busy, and take it easy. We can eliminate guilt, shame, and fear from our present lives by dealing only with the present. Lao Tzu said "If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace you are living in the present."
Sometimes we try too hard to get all this. It is better to relax and accept it. It will be given to us, with no effort on our part, if we stop trying too hard to get it. We must relax and accept the gift with gratitude and humility. We must put ourselves in God's hands. We must say to God: "Here am I and here are all my troubles. I've made a mess of things and can't do anything about it. You take me and all my troubles and do anything you want with me." Do I believe that the Grace of God can do for me what I could never do for myself?
There is hostility, conflict, chaos, drama, hatred, pride, hubris, and self-centredness everywhere. Fear is the curse of the world. Many are our fears. Fear is everywhere. I must fight fear as I would a plague. I must turn it out of my life. There is no room for fear in the heart in which God dwells. Fear cannot exist where true love is or where Faith abides. So, I must have no fear. Fear is evil, but "Perfect love casteth out all fear." Fear destroys hope and hope is necessary for all of humanity.
Paul in the Bible had a thorn in his side and that was what made him look for spiritual power. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 Jesus said that "In order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of 'Satan' (Jesus knew that Satan and Hell were not real: They were metaphors for a life without spirituality that would lead to Hell on Earth), to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. Jack Kornfield wrote “Trauma is to activate the spiritual awakening of why we are here.”
Letting go or let them like the famous book 'The Let Them Theory' by Mel Robbins says, and knowing we can just BE at anytime is the goal of practicing spirituality every day: You are giving the gift of spirituality to people who don't know this is even an option, and the solution to all their problems. That's my humble opinion. One of the good things about life's challenges is that you get to find out that you're more capable of being far more than you ever thought possible. The ‘obstacle is the way’ as Ryan Holiday wrote in his book on Stoic Philosophy of the same name, which is in my 'Suggested Reading' list. He encouraged us to love our fate - Amor Fati.
Surround yourself with the people who want what you want in life and let go of what you can't change. Let the dead leaves drop. I will go anywhere as long as it's forward. Every morning start a new page in your story and make it a great one, your life is a reflection of you letting go of negative thoughts, beliefs and feelings. If you change your thinking to only positive thoughts, guided by intuition from Universal Consciousness, also known as God, you change your life! Simply ask in every fork in the road “What would love/God do now?” And pray “Thy will, not mine be done.”
Acceptance and surrender are key spiritual principles that focus on embracing reality as it is and using it to let go of inner resistance and turmoil. Seen in this light, life’s challenges are not problems; they are opportunities for growth and spiritual evolution. For example, Karma is not a punishment, it’s a learning tool encouraging you to evolve consciously. By practising acceptance and surrender, individuals can achieve clarity and respond to situations thoughtfully, which fosters tremendous spiritual growth.
Florida Scott-Maxwell wrote that “I imagine that God speaks to me, saying simply, "I kept calling to you, and you did not come." And I answer quite naturally, ‘I couldn't until I knew there was nowhere else to go.’” Life will bring you to your knees in order for you to pray. We are wilful. We worship guts, ambition, hustle, grit, pride, ego and individual determination.
A man wants to do things in the way that he devises for himself, and it may not occur to him to open himself up to a Higher Power. Yet our Higher Power is always there, calling to us. There is a paradox in this spiritual lesson: More genuine strength and more options are in our hands when we let go of our wilful, controlling attitudes. This is the secret wisdom of a man who has learned from experience. The young, unseasoned man tries to control everything and push on things that he can not budge. The wiser, more experienced man says, "I see the limits of what is mine to change, and I can let my Higher Power take care of the things I can not change." With regards to those concerns that you can not fix, let them go. Then, focus on a few areas where you can make a difference. As it says in the 12 step serenity prayer “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”
Maybe we dreamed of joy and laughter with our family - only to find tears and anger. Maybe we dreamed of respect at our job - only to be fired. Our dreams began to feel like burdens. We had lost hope. With healing and recovery, the hope starts to return. We start to trust ourselves again. We start to trust others again. We start to trust in our Higher Power. Over time, we even dare to dream again. In our dreams, we are loving people. We have something to offer others. We are not scared. This is a sign that hope is returning. We fall in love again with the world, our Higher Power, and ourselves. Say “Higher Power, thank you for giving back my future. Thank you for giving back my dreams.”

Mary McLeod Bethune wrote that "Faith is the first factor in a life-devoted to service. Without it, nothing is possible. With it, nothing is impossible."
Those who have seen the darkness have the most light to give. Your light might irritate a lot of unhealed, spiritually dis-eased people: Shine anyway. You have an inner light at the centre of your being that radiates warmth and love. Close your eyes and reconnect with your quiet, effulgent deepest Self. Feel the peace. Now open your eyes and radiate that light into the world around you. Let your light shine so brightly that others can see their way out of the dark.
Lao Lao Tzu stated in the 'Tao Te Ching' that “Knowing others is intelligence; knowing your Self is true wisdom”. Plato declared that, through self-knowledge, ‘Thou shalt know the Universe, and God”.
You are a rare person who can achieve anything that you decide to commit myself to. The key to serenity and peace is to stop thinking about you. Drop the pride, embrace humility.
Mind sees illusion - the movie. Reality is energy and consciousness. You are the screen or the projector.
Life is not to be endured; life is to be enjoyed and embraced. The belief that we must square our shoulders and get through a meagre, deprived existence for far-off "Rewards in Heaven" is a codependent belief. Yes, most of us still have times when life will be stressful and challenge our endurance skills. But in healing and recovery, we're learning to live, to enjoy our life, and to handle situations as they come. Our survival skills have served us well. They have gotten us through difficult times--as children and young adults. Our ability to freeze feelings, deny problems, deprive ourselves, and cope with stress has helped us get where we are today. But we're safe now, We're learning to do more than survive. We can let go of unhealthy survival behaviours. We're learning new, better ways to protect and care for ourselves. We're free to identify and solve problems, and give ourselves the best of life. We're free to open up and come alive.
With this approach we shall all experience spiritual bliss, which is the true ground of our BEing. Make peace your goal: The warm swirl that embodies your soul. The safe place you can retreat to in amongst the chaos. The fuzzy feeling you get when everything is calm. That’s inner peace. What a miraculous feeling it is. It’s worth every lesson, every heartache and every aha moment along the way. Time, patience, and reflection become your best friends. You learn to see your Self from within. You now stand in your power with your head held high. The light within is truly yours. Our true enemies, as well as our true sources of strength, lie within. Marvin Gaye said that "If you cannot find peace within your Self, you will never find it anywhere else.
This journey of self discovery allows you to find the calm, the peace, the acceptance you crave, so keep this lofty ambition close even if it feels like a tall order.
A long time ago, the Creator put inside the human being the secrets to the laws of life. We usually know this is true even though we may not know what these laws are. If something goes wrong with our lives, we usually fix the blame on something outside of ourselves. We tend to give up accountability. One way or another, we say, "It's not my fault." We need to realise that all permanent and lasting change starts on the inside and works its way out. If it's meant to be, it is up to me. Realise fully that your problems are of your own making. Therefore, so are the solutions.
Romana Maharshi's conceptual teachings were - being aware of your BEingness in the moment. “Recognising one’s Self as the witnessing presence of awareness in the background of experience.” Consciousness is the fundamental reality of the Universe. Donald Hoffman, who studied neuroscience and AI at MIT, says that “Physics is not fundamental reality: Consciousness is.” Our reality is our consciousness.
Let go of your unhealthy endurance and survival skills. Every difficulty can either be solved or ignored: I have written an algorithm for this. Choose a new mode of living, one that allows you to be alive and enjoy the adventure that is life: Life is not a dead end, it's composed of infinite new beginnings, for which you can use the 'Golden Key', written by Emmet Fox. Have Faith, not fear. Out of difficulties grow miracles. Ram Dass said, "We're all just walking each other home." Jim Rohn said to “Act as if everything works out for you”: Because it will.
Namaste.
