The Coming of Faith

In my own case, and I believe that the same is true for everyone, the foundation stone of freedom from fear is that of Faith: a Faith that, despite all worldly appearances to the contrary, causes me to believe that I live in a Universe that makes sense and is based on love.


Fear and Faith do not live in the same house. Fear knocked on my door. Faith answered: There was no-one there.


I would also say that Faith is the way out of the insanity that we all suffer from, yet don’t know that we do, as a result of living in what feels like such a dysfunctional world, full of fear, hatred and conflict, where we can't see the way out. The way out is in. The way out is spiritual evolution. Trust in Faith: You won't fall. Only fear tells you otherwise, but fear is a liar. You can handle it! Faith is the path of spiritual evolution and the way out of anxiety. Faith is how to get through all your obstacles.


Victor Hugo wrote "A Faith is a necessity to a man. Woe to him who believes in nothing."


Marianne Williamson wrote "To trust in the force that moves the Universe is Faith. Faith isn't blind; it's visionary. Faith is believing that the Universe knows what it's doing. Faith is the psychological awareness of an unfolding force for good, constantly at work in all dimensions." The Universe speaks to you through your intuition (during meditation) and synchronicity. Faith is also the key to any real, lasting success in life.


Martin Luther wrote "All who call on God in true Faith, earnestly from the heart, will certainly be heard, and will receive what they have asked and desired." Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."


Faith is accessible to us, provided we place humility first. When we begin to do that, we receive the gift of Faith: A Faith that works. This Faith is for you too.


Dan Millman wrote "Faith means living with uncertainty - feeling your way through life, letting your heart guide you like a lantern in the dark." Let's take it one step at a time. I am here to guide you.


Faith is healing: Faith is the solution to spiritual dis-ease. Jesus said in Matthew 9:22 that “Your Faith has made you well.” Some versions of the Bible translate Jesus’ words as “Thy Faith hath made thee whole,” and, “Your Faith has healed you.” To me this is a metaphor for authenticity and integration of your inner child with Higher Self. This is how you reintegrate your psyche. This is what heals you psychologically and spiritually. Faith will lead you to seeing with new eyes. Carl Jung, the greatest psychiatrist of all time, and father of analytical psychology, knew God. And so can you...


The Coming of Faith


The coming of Faith: To me, this means a belief in a Higher Power or Universal Force of Nature that is all power, justice, and love; a Higher Power who intends for me a purpose, a meaning, and a destiny to grow, however little and haltingly, toward His own likeness and image. Before the coming of Faith I had lived as an alien in a cosmos that too often seemed both hostile and cruel. In it there could be no inner security for me.


Bill Wilson wrote in 'As Bill Sees It' that "When I was driven to my knees, I was made ready to ask for the gift of Faith. And all was changed. Never again, my pains and problems notwithstanding, would I experience my former desolation. I saw the Universe to be lighted by God's love; I was alone no more." I resonate so deeply with this in my own journey. This is the key to creating from the heart.



The best acronym for God that I have ever heard is "Gift Of Desperation': When you are brought to your knees, pray, meditate, and your prayers will always be answered. This is essential to any daily spiritual practice, and I don't mean religion. Spirituality is the way of strength. The verdict of the ages is that people of Faith seldom lack. They trust the Universe. We can let our Higher Power demonstrate, through us, what they can do.


Sören Kierkegaard wrote "Faith is the highest passion in a human being. Many in every generation may not come that far, but none comes further... The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays."


Thomas Aquinas wrote "To one who has Faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without Faith, no explanation is possible." Voltaire wrote "Faith consists in believing what reason cannot."



Faith is what allows you to successfully traverse 'The Dark Night of The Soul', which is always a stage of any 'Hero's Journey.'


Rumi said “Wherever I look, there I see the face of God.” This is a reference to a concept found in the Quran (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:115), which essentially means that God's presence is everywhere, so no matter where you turn, you are essentially facing God's "presence" or "direction". 


Faith is the key to real lasting success by any measure. Faith has nothing to do with believing in a ‘God’. Faith is seeing infinity in the petals of a flower, in the eyes and the joy of a child, in the panorama of the ocean or the awe and wonder in the star-studded night sky and knowing, without question, that there is a Universal intelligence that is guiding all things together with Love. Plato said "We are twice armed if we fight with Faith."


Faith is the bridge between you and everything. Faith is the 'Great Unseen'. Faith is the way of miracles.


Faith allows you to leap even when you are terrified. Faith will remove all your fears and everything that holds you back from Self-realisation. You are the doorway to the infinite.I will see the highest in you, until you see it for your Self.


Everyone lives by Faith; it’s a fact of life. We trust in things and people in order to live from day to day. We trust in chairs to support us, cars to transport us, employers to pay us, phones for communication, etc. Spirituality may be built on science.


Over time we learn that some things and some people prove more reliable than others. Unfortunately, everything and everyone in this world eventually fails, as everything wears out, winds down, or lets us down. The only exception to this is Faith. Faith is knowing that no-one is an enemy: Faith is knowing that everyone is a teacher on the beautiful winding path that is life.


Faith is spiritualised creativity. Jesus states in Matthew 17:20 that "Faith can move mountains." Jesus said in Matthew 17:20-21"For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." These are such deep Biblical Truths.


Pope John Paul II "Have no fear of moving into the unknown. Simply step out fearlessly knowing that I am with you, therefore no harm can befall you; all is very, very well. Do this in complete Faith and confidence."


Blaise Pascal said "Faith indeed tells what the senses do not tell, but not the contrary of what they see. It is above them and not contrary to them... Faith is different from proof; the latter is human, the former is a Gift from God... Belief is a wise wager. Granted that Faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, without hesitation, that He exists."


Mahatma Gandhi wrote "A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable Faith in their mission can alter the course of history... If patience is worth anything, it must endure to the end of time. And a living Faith will last in the midst of the blackest storm."


Zig Ziglar wrote "The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, Faith, love and loyalty."


Paulo Coelho "None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust. Because we have Faith."


William Shakespeare, the greatest author of all time, who was a spiritual Master, wrote "Now, God be praised, that to believing souls; gives light in darkness, comfort in despair."


Florida Scott-Maxwell wrote “I kept calling to you, and you did not come." And I answer quite naturally, "I couldn't until I knew there was nowhere else to go." We are wilful. We worship guts, hustle, control, and individual determination. A person wants to do things in the way that he devises for himself, and it may not occur to him to open himself up to a Higher Power. Yet our Higher Power is always there, calling to us. There is a paradox in this spiritual lesson: More genuine strength, clarity, and more options are in our hands when we let go of our wilful, controlling attitudes. This is the secret wisdom of a person who has learned from experience. The young, unseasoned, typically egoic person tries to control everything and push on things that he can not budge. The wiser, more experienced person says, "I see the limits of what is mine to change, and I can let my Higher Power take care of the things I can not change."


Faith is essential to your highest possibility and Real Personal Power.
