The Divine Virtues

In the Bible it states about the divine virtues in 1 Corinthians 13:13 “And now these three remain: Faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Love is the greatest because your Higher Power is pure love. Love is the highest virtue because it leads us to our Higher Power, also known as God, who embodies love. These sacred virtues are the pledge of the presence and action of the Holy Spirit in the faculties of the human BEing.

I was at a funeral today and ended up sitting at the wake reception next to the Christian Orthodox priest. We had fascinating conversations about spirituality, Biblical Truths, Jesus, Faith, love, and hope. He said that the divine virtues are 'spiritual nourishments': Until we turn to spirituality we experience an insatiable hunger for these divine nourishments. This is what drives us to 'imitation love' in the form of egocentric power, sex, other addictions, spiritual dis-ease, and even death.


A reading from the first Letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians States “Brothers and sisters: Strive eagerly for the greatest spiritual gifts. But I shall show you a still more excellent way. If I speak in human and angelic tongues but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all Faith so as to move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the Truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

I have a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from Trinity College, Cambridge; a Master's Degree in Philosophy from Trinity College, Cambridge; a PhD Doctorate in Scientific Research from University College London (UCL); a Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London and have been a doctor and reconstructive trauma and cancer surgeon in London for 20 years. I have a number of other higher qualifications in science and surgery. I have published over 50 peer reviewed PubMed cited scientific journal articles, have been an associate editor and frequent scientific faculty member, and am the author of several scientific books. I have been awarded my Diploma in Transformative Life Coaching in London, which has International Coaching Federation (ICF) Accreditation, as well as the UK Association for Coaching (AC), and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC). I have been on my own transformative journey full time for over five years and I am ready to be your guide to you finding out who you really are and how the world works.
