When My Higher Self Came Forward

All of your troubles are caused by your ego - your petrified inner child. It has been subconsciously running your life until now. Your Higher Self was taking a back seat, remaining in the unconscious, not running your life. This is sometimes called the 'fragile ego'.


Why is this the case? For me, I simply didn't realise that I could choose who I was being. Also, my inner child was acting so big, that there was too much me in me to make space for my Higher Self. I had to surrender my ego first.



Once I realised that it was a choice that I could make, I achieved freedom from my self (my ego) and embraced my Self (my soul). This is now who is running my life. My inner child can play and know that it is safe, loved, seen, heard, and valued. For it has such talents in creativity, wanting to play, loving, being present, and having limitless energy. My Higher Self is courageous, unconditionally loving, compassionate, and makes intuitively inspired choices, and never gets up from its seat of ease and peace.


In the the 12 step ‘Big Book’ in the chapter entitled “We Agnostics” it states:

“Then, like a thunderbolt, a great thought came. It crowded out all else: 

“Who are you to say there is no God?’’ 

This man recounts that he tumbled out of bed to his knees. In a few seconds he was overwhelmed by a conviction of the Presence of God. It poured over and through him with the certainty and majesty of a great tide at flood. The barriers he had built through the years were swept away. He stood in the Presence of Infinite Power and Love. He had stepped from bridge to shore. For the first time, he lived in conscious companionship with his Creator. “


A little further into the Big Book it states “As we go through the day we pause, when agitated or doubtful, and ask for the right thought or action.  We constantly remind ourselves we are no longer running the show, humbly saying to ourselves many times each day “Thy will be done.”  We are then in much less danger of excitement, fear, anger, worry, self-pity, or foolish decisions.  We become much more efficient.  We do not tire so easily, for we are not burning up energy foolishly as we did when we were trying to arrange life to suit ourselves.”


Speak in such a way that others love to listen to you: Listen in such a way that others love to speak to you.


George Bernard Shaw wrote that “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” Are you ready to change your mind?

I have a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from Trinity College, Cambridge; a Master's Degree in Philosophy from Trinity College, Cambridge; a PhD Doctorate in Scientific Research from University College London (UCL); a Medical Degree (MD/MBBS) from The Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, London and have been a doctor and reconstructive trauma and cancer surgeon in London for 20 years. I have a number of other higher qualifications in science and surgery.
