Why We Suffer

Updated: May 22

Friedrich Nietzsche said that “To live is to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering.” But why do we suffer? And how can we find meaning and peace amidst the suffering (click on the links below to take you to my relevant articles)?

We suffer because:

We wear masks

We don’t have Faith

We are stuck in ego

We fail to surrender

We hold resentments

We fail to serve others We forget that all is well

We live from a place of fear

We are consumed by shame

We forget to practice gratitude

We don't know who we truly are

We hand over our personal power

We allow toxic people into our lives

We don’t live in the present moment

We fail to achieve balance in our lives

We judge everyone including our Selves

We don’t allow our selves time to grieve

We are overwhelmed by the challenges of life

We have the wrong people as mirrors in our lives

We chase what we want but don’t know what we need

We worship false Gods like money, power, and addictive substances

We suffer and it's getting worse

The key to transcending our suffering is to use it as a blessing on the lives of others. Serve with all your heart. Cling to the thought that, in God's hands, the darkness of the past is the greatest possession you have – the key to life, peace, and joy for others. With it you can avert death and misery for them. Say to your Self "No longer is my past an autobiography; it is a reference book to be taken down, opened and shared. Today as I report for duty, the most wonderful picture comes through. For, though this day be dark – as some days must be – the stars will shine even brighter later and the new dawn will be a blazing fire. My witness that the stars and the sun do shine will be called for in the very near future. All my past will this day be a part of me, because it is the key, not the lock. In God all things are possible. I am a conduit of clarity and compassion, to a higher state of consciousness."

There is a solution: Taking you from pain to peace...

Namaste.
